Welcome to the online portfolio of Gary Schafer Photography. The imagery here ref;ects over 30 years of fulltime professional newspaper photography and magazine work encompassing the three major news groups in Australia - News Corporation, Fairfax Media and Rural Press.

Currently I am based in the Canberra area operating my own photographic business on a freelance basis, with Canberra City News as my major client.

Services offered cover a wide range of photographic areas - not just publishing.

Corporate portraits, environment portraits, commercial and architectural shots in the field and on location have all been completed for a variety of valued clients. The use of a portable studio makes on location work to studio standards easy.

Weddings have been completed in far northern NSW and Sydney. Events, such as the Canberra Airport Open Day and Fashfest are recent projects.

Reasonable rates, high end Nikon cameras and use of Adobe Creative Cloud for post processing in Lightroom and Photoshop, ensure first class photography to your specifications in a fast turn around.
